Snayniyeh is a popular dish made to celebrate a baby’s first tooth. It can be made many ways but we’ve adapted the traditional recipe as follows.

- 32 oz. shelled wheat ammeh
- 8 cups water
- 1 cup sugar
- 6 oz. rose water.
- soaked walnuts, pistachios, pinenuts, almonds for garnishing
- coconut shreds for garnishing
- candy assortment for garnishing

Instructions
- Soaked them for 24 hours
- Boil until they are soft (check after 35 minutes)
- Turn off stove top and mix in rosewater and sugar
- Plate and decorate as desired. I did layers of coconut, golden raisins and almonds topped with the same + candies and cranberries. The coconut and raisins were only along the outside of the dish so that they showed for decide, but the walnuts all the way through. Because this is a sweet dish, the addition of extra layers of walnuts were nice.
- When you layer it as I did the sides will be higher than the middle, allowing you to do more with your top design and adding to the look
- It was Easter when I made the snayniyeh so I decorated with Easter chocolates
