Foul Mdammas (Fava Beans) Recipe
Empty all contents of four cans of fava beans into a pot and cook over medium heat, let it boil for five minutes over low heat
Grind the garlic, salt, mint together with a mortar and pestle (md2a toum)
Add the garlic mixture, 2 tablespoon oil and lemon juice to a bowl and mix together
Add in the fava beans and mix with the dressing and remaining tablespoon of olive oil on top. Garnish with fresh mint
- If you have more time, this dish can alternatley be made with dry fava beans
- set them in pressure cooker for 20 minutes
