Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup rice i.e. Uncle Ben, rinsed
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil or butter
- 1 cup vermicelli shairiyeh
- 1 teaspoon salt and to taste
- 3 cups water little more to preferred texture

Instructions
- Add the butter, oil, and vermicelli to pot and cook until medium to dark brown
- Add the rice, stir, then add the water and salt. Set over medium heat and cover
- When boil starts, mix the rice and set to low heat and let it simmer until the water evaporates. Salt to taste
Recipe Notes
- This rice is great with labneh or laban
- It is a great side for many of the main dishes
