Please tell us about yourself:

I’m Lebanese through and through, but have lived in Dubai for over 10 years. I work full time in Marketing but always try to dedicate time for my cooking and baking. I was lucky to marry my college sweetheart (we met at the American University of Beirut) and have 3 kids together- Ramzi, Wael and Lea.

Where are you from:

I’m from Lebanon, from a town called Semkanieh, next to Beiteddine:-)

Where are you currently residing:

I’ve been living in Dubai for over 10 years

What is your favorite Middle Eastern dish to make:

Mom’s Riz 3a Djeij 🙂

Do you prefer traditional Middle Eastern dishes or modern/fusion Middle Eastern dishes:

I love the dishes that preserve tradition but don’t mind a little bit of experimentation

What do you love most about cooking Middle Eastern cuisine:

What I love the most is how much it reminds me of home

What is your favorite Middle Eastern restaurant:

That popular restaurant in Zahle, totally forgot its name but we used to go to it sooo much when we were kids with our parents.

What is your favorite food blog:

I love @mykitchenvibes blog, tried her recipes and they are amazing! I also really relate to her love of Zaatar:-)

What is a must have tool in your kitchen for making Middle Eastern food:

The koussa digger;-) (not sure what’s the technical name!)

What advice do you have for someone just starting to find their way around the kitchen:

Don’t be intimidated, it’s not as hard as it looks!

What nostalgic candy bar would you grab on walks to the local deken when you were a kid:

I used to be obsessed with PEZ! All flavors!
