It’s “ashta season” 🤩 Loving this sprea It’s “ashta season” 🤩

Loving this spread at my cousin’s bridal shower today ft. ashta with nuts and honey, katayaf (“Arabic pancakes” stuffed with ashta), and halawet jibne (soft layers of a semolina cheese filled with ashta).

Which is your favorite?! Check out the full spread on my IG stories.
AD | Who else is looking forward to spring and sum AD | Who else is looking forward to spring and summer Lebanese BBQs?! A highlight of the Lebanese BBQ spread is definitely the fattoush salad, with fresh romaine, vibrant tomatoes, peppers, parsley, radishes and cucumbers. For our tomatoes, we pick @nstomatoes because of their care and dedication to their Associates #PickedWithPurpose #NatureSweetTomatoes

NatureSweet is EFI-Certified (Equitable Food Initiative), meaning they meet the industry’s highest standards for working conditions, food safety and pest management. NatureSweet provides its Associates and their families with growth opportunities, including education programs that help people graduate high school / elementary / middle school.

As someone from a family of farmers and harvesters in Lebanon, this care for their Associates matters to me!

I love to use NatureSweet Cherubs tomatoes in our fattoush! Tomatoes are a main part of the salad, so I like to slice NatureSweet Cherubs tomatoes vertically and feature them in this dish. They look beautiful and taste delicious.

Here is what else you will need!

Salad
2 cups NatureSweet Cherubs, halved vertically
4 cups peppers cubed (red, green, yellow peppers)
2 cups romaine lettuce chopped
1 cup radishes sliced
2 cups cucumber sliced
1/2 cup parsley fresh, chopped

Dressing
2 cloves garlic minced
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup lemon juice, preferably fresh
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sumac

Prepare the salad ingredients and toss together lightly
Shake or mix dressing ingredients together and pour over salad

We love to add baked pita chips to our fattoush. To make, simply cut pita bread into strips, roll strips up and set tightly side by side in a tray, spray or brush with extra virgin olive oil & bake until golden (check my stories!)
