Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon nutmeg or cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tablespoon mahlab
- 1 cup butter softened
- 2 eggs
- pinch of vanilla
- date/tamar mix

Instructions
- Sift together the flour and baking powder
- Add in nutmeg, mahlab, butter, eggs, vanilla and mix together
- Roll the dough on a baking paper
- Knead date mixture with hands until flattened and lay the flattened date mixture over the dough
- Fold and roll together and cut off the edges
- Bake the cake on 180C for half an hour (depending on oven)
- Sprinkle icing sugar (powdered sugar)
